Famous Food In Pakistan-Which have amazing taste

 

The taste of Pakistani food is considered among the best tastes in Asia. As we all know Pakistan have five provinces with their own taste, cultural foods, and spices. And each province has its own way of making it. Pakistani food gives you the taste that no other country in Asia gives you. Some of the famous food of Pakistan are illustrated below.

1-  Lassi: Yogurt cream and milk

Lassi is the main summer drink of Pakistan. Which is drunk with passion in every region of Pakistan. The method of making lassi is very simple and is made only with the help of water, curd, and cream. The people of Punjab loved to drink it. Some people like it sweet and others salty. But salty lassi is used more in summer. On the Punjab side, it is kept in clay pots, and from time to time it is used by farmers who work in the fields all day long and keep it as their partner. 


2-  Doodh Patti: Milk tea

Pakistani people start their day with this beverage. We can also called it the national drink of Pakistan. It is also one of the famous drinks in Pakistan. Tea is the first drink served to guests in Pakistani homes. The method of making it is very simple and straightforward, only water, sugar, milk, and tea leaves are used. But as the method of making it as simple as delicious, it is. You can make it as good as you like by adding ginger, and cardamom in it.

3-  Sugarcane beverage:

It is our national drink as people here love to drink it in summer. It is one of the famous beverages in Pakistan. Consuming this drink is also good for our health. It is very effective in reducing weight also. Diabetes patients can also use this drink because sugarcane has a low glycemic rate. One of the big advantages of this drink is that it is reasonably priced. Only ice and sugar canes are used in its preparation. Punjab is the largest producer of it but it can also be found in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh.
 


4-  Chicken Karahi:

Chicken Karahi is one of the famous dishes of Pakistan, made from chicken, chilies, spices, garlic, ginger, and tomatoes, and for further enhancement cream is also used in it. This is special food for those who love to eat chicken. It is eaten with passion in every region of Pakistan. This dish originated from Khyber Pakhtun khuwa and it is made everywhere in Pakistan. There are many desi restaurants and hotels in Pakistan where especially this is made. I also have a good suggestion for all of you guys whenever you visit Pakistan so don't forget to taste this dish.



5-  Haleem: Mixture of wheat, barley, lentils, and meat

Haleem is a kind of stew in which different lentils, mutton or chicken, and wheat are added. The making recipe of a dish is different from region to region. It is widely consumed by the people of Pakistan. The spices that we add in its making are very common but when they adds to this dish their taste emerges in a way that no one can beat. In every major festival of Pakistan, it is mandatory to have it on the table because it is the famous food of Pakistan which cannot forget to eat and make. It is served with naan and chapati which further enhances its taste. Ingredients used in its decoration include chilies, ginger, coriander, lemon, and fried onions. Eating haleem hot makes it even more delicious. I personally love to eat it.



6-  Afghani pulao

A best and most famous recipe of Pashtoon. It is also known as Kabuli pulao. Afghani pulao as it is named was given to it according to the region but now it is made and eaten in many places in Pakistan.  It doesn't use many spices. It is not easy to make it but interest in making it attracts you to it. It uses nuts like almonds, raisins, and pistachios, and some vegetables are used carrots, onion, and tomatoes are included. Choice of meat is up to you whether you use meat or lamb. Only salt and sugar are used in its preparation. It has a very good taste and the eater wants to eat it nonstop. 


7-  Chapli Kabab

This is the most famous of Peshawar. Now it is made everywhere in Pakistan but it is famous as Peshawari chapli kabab. The name chapli is given to it because of pashto words chaprikh/chapeel which means flat. Minced meat is used to make it and then chopped onions, coriander, anardana, and different spices are used in its preparation. Tomato is used in its garnishing which further enhance it's look.




 It is definitely made in Pakistani homes on the Eid ul Azha festival. They have a very good taste. They are juicy and you can feel the distint taste of their spices as soon as they go ito your mouth and when they are being fried in oil, your mouth will automatically fill with water.

8-  Halwa, puri and channay..(Puri, pudding and chickpeas)

Halwa puri is a famous food of Pakistan which is preffered by majority for breakfast. This breakfast consist of variety of items including poori, halwa, chickenpea curry, potato bhajis and pickles are also eaten to add flavor and spice. 




After a whole week of hard work, a working man looks forward to sunday, his day off and sits with his family and enjoys a breakfast of halwa which is made up of semolina and puri which is flat fried bread, crispy from outside and soft from inner side. It's preparation is on sunday especially and many people go outside to have this breakfast. The breakfast itself is very tasty and heavy which gives a strange lethargy to a person after eating it. And if you drink a glass of lassi after this breakfast, you are guaranteed a restful sleep because drinking lassi after this has it's own fun.

9-  Biryani

Biryani is the hallmark of Pakiatan's Sindh province. It is such a popular food for people living in Sindh and Karachi that even if there are hundred types of food in a festival , the people here enjoys biryani first.




The preparation of biryani involves many spices including garam masala and biryani masala, the main reason for adding hot spices is that the ingredients in it have their own distinct flavour like cinnamon, clove, cardamom, cumin etc. It is one such famous food of Pakistan that every person knows and likes to eat and it is commonly prepared and eaten in every region of Pakistan. The addition of meat is upto you whether you like to eat mutton or chicken in it. But most of the people like to prepare it in chicken. The more things are added to it, the more its taste hits differently. It uses basmati rice which is one of the best quality of rice are boiled separately. Its taste is loved by everyone in Pakistan.

10-  Chapshuro:

It is a famous dish made in Hunza a valley of  Gilgit Baltistan which is situated in the northern mountainous region of Pakistan. It is meat flatbread cake. The mixture for the inner filling of this flatbread is prepared with different spices, chopped onion, tomatoes, coriander, mint leaves and minced meat. Chapshoro is the word of  Gilgit language in which Chap means meat and Shoro means bread. We can also call it as pizza of North. 




Peach and walnut oil is used for it's frying but it is not mandatory. As we all know very well that mountainous regions are cold and at that time having freshly fried hot and spicy chapshoro has its own charm. 



All the foods that i have mentioned above they all have their own unique flavor . My advice to all these tourists is that whoever comes here to Pakistan  for tourism they must try these foods, be sure you will get good results, you will not get the taste like here anywhere in the world.
